At the meeting of July 25th, Past District Governor Una Martone presented to the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg the Best Small Club banner and plaque for the 2017-18 year. She thanked Amy and the club for all the work they did to achieve this. She went on to talk about her experience as District Governor and what a wonderful experience it was. She described many of the achievements of the district clubs. She is still collecting data, but district clubs have donated to their communities over $500,000 outside of Rotary grants. They have also donated many thousands of hours of community service that would be missed if the clubs were around.
She also noted that the most successful clubs that she visited had strong and encouraging leadership and it was not always the club president providing it. We thank Una for her leadership and a very successful year for Rotary District 7390.
