Thirty sit/stand desks were gifted to Monroe Elementary School in the Cumberland Valley School District through funds raised by the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg and a matching grant provided by Rotary District 7390.

4th Grade Classroom with Sit/Stand Desks at Monroe Elementary
On October 15, 2020, THIRTY sit/stand desks were delivered to Monroe Elementary School (Cumberland Valley School District) in order to benefit the students of one of their 4th grade classrooms. By October 27, 2020, all thirty desks had been assembled by an amazing team of three Rotarians and two extraordinarily dedicated teachers. These desks will allow for greater seating flexibility (adjusting the height, position, and location) and will improve the academic performance of these 4th grade students overall. Our club, along with a grant from Rotary District 7390 proudly provided the funds for these desks. We love serving our community and look forward to continued collaboration with other local organizations!
