Past President Mike McConahy was recognized for his two years of service to the club as President at a Club Social held at the home of President Amy Bockis.
A Club Social (outside with appropriate masks and distancing) was held on July 29th at the home of President Amy Bockis. Her husband, Andy, treated those present with a variety of delicious Neapolitan Pizzas which he cranked out until everyone was stuffed.

During the event, Past President Mike McConahy was recognized for his two years of service to the club as President. President Amy presented PP Mike with a unique Past President award (see picture) and him and his wife, Lindsey, some personal gifts. There was a good turnout of club members and their families as the completion of an eventful Rotary year was celebrated. PP Mike thank the club for its support and for all its accomplishments despite the club's small size. He noted that the club had donated almost $28,000 to support its projects and that members had donated over $22,000 to the Rotary Foundation. This was a real accomplishment for a club of 17 members.

PP Mike named many of the projects the club supports including: Students of the Month with five $2K Scholarships awarded, A Taste of Mechanicsburg fundraiser (postponed until 2021) which support the Joseph Simpson Library, Bowling for Books (library support), Singer Band, Meals on Wheels (new commercial range), The Cracked Pot Coffee Shop (employs, trains, & mentors youth who have aged out of foster care), Metalillito El Salvador Solar Water Project, Joni and Friends El Salvador (handicapped youth), Mechanicsburg Halloween Parade, Upper Allen Mechanicsburg Baseball Association, and Susan Byrnes Health Education Center.
