Rotary Clubs around the world are dedicated to building international relationships and supporting global peace efforts. Rotary’s Youth Exchange Program has been a vital part of this mission for more than 80 years. Every year, over 9000 students world-wide pack their bags, say good-bye to family and friends and travel to a new country to immerse themselves in a new culture and language all in the name of public diplomacy and peace building.

The Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg congratulates Jessica Miller on her acceptance into the Rotary Youth Exchange Program for the 2022-23 academic year. Jessica will spend next year as a Rotary Exchange Student in the country of Belgium, where she will live with host families and attend a local high school.

We are so proud that Jess has accepted the challenge of becoming a Rotary Student Ambassador, and we wish her the best of luck next year. In addition to the value of this Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship, which is estimated at $25,000, we are also gifting her with a friendship pin of Belgium and the United States to wear on her graduation gown and an Essential Guide to Belgium Customs and Culture to help prepare her for her year ahead.

Congratulations, Jessica, we look forward to following you on your amazing adventure next year. Godspeed!
